Tong Sui quickly reacted, picking up the food he had offered and putting it into his mouth, trying hard to suppress but still showing a faint smile.
“Thank you!”
“You’re welcome.”
Ye Linyuan lowered his head, deliberately ignoring that strange feeling, and began to eat.
The chubby boy next to them glanced over twice.
He felt this interaction mode was somewhat familiar.
It felt like they had mutual feelings for each other but hadn’t made it clear yet, all sticky and sweet.
Pah.
What was he thinking?
How could that be possible? That was the rumor-free Ye Linyuan.
Moreover, they were both alphas; there was no possibility of an AA relationship!
Tong Sui ate very slowly during this meal, counting the grains of rice as he wanted to spend more time with Ye Linyuan.
But the person opposite him seemed used to it, treating the meal like a task to fill his stomach and eating quickly.
“I’m leaving first.”
“Ah, so soon?” Tong Sui looked and seemed to notice something. He said to Ye Linyuan, “Wait for me a moment.”
He ran to the nearest vending machine, casually pressed for a drink, and hurried back, fearing Ye Linyuan would leave.
The cold drink was shoved into his hand.
“Alright, you can go now.”
Ye Linyuan took the bottle of drink back to the office.
He placed the drink on the table.
The chilled drink had been in the warm air for a while, and a layer of condensation gathered on the packaging.
He had been shown kindness before, but this clumsy and direct manner was rare.
After staring at it for a while, Ye Linyuan shifted his gaze and opened the student files that had yet to be processed.
A familiar photo jumped out.
Tong Sui, Alpha.
Mechanical Engineering Department, first-year student.
Ye Linyuan stared at the photo of Tong Sui for a few seconds, recalling the communication from four years ago.
He suddenly had a bit of an understanding of what had transpired.
“Brother Sui, you’re so bold,” the chubby boy murmured on the way back to the dormitory. “If Ye Linyuan served me food, I could boast about it for a month.”
The blonde-haired guy said, “A month? That’s too few; you could boast about it for a lifetime!”
Tong Sui thought, if they knew his true intent was to pursue Ye Linyuan, would they be directly scared?
They pushed open the door.
The dormitory was already full of people, and Tong Sui’s things that were originally on the lower bunk were moved to the upper one by someone.
On his original spot lay another set of bedding.
“Who did this?”
The chubby boy’s voice was loud enough for the whole dormitory to hear.
But no one responded.
Tong Sui frowned as well.
This behavior of moving someone else’s belongings without permission was quite disrespectful.
At that moment, a clear voice sounded.
“I, I told him that spot was taken, but he didn’t listen to me,” Jiang Che said softly. “Tong Sui, don’t be angry; let’s discuss this properly.”
Tong Sui turned to look at him.
In the original plot, he was supposed to share a dorm with the protagonist and another cannon fodder.
The sound of a door opening on the balcony came.
A tall figure walked in, speaking disdainfully, “I did it; what’s the problem? No one was in your spot, so I put my things there.”
He wore several earrings in his ears, had a few gray streaks in his hair, and looked like a school bully.
Bian Sheng.
Like him, everyone else was cannon fodder, but Bian Sheng had slightly more screen time.
Bian Sheng’s family was in finance and real estate, wealthy. In the original plot, he would occasionally use “bullying” as a pretext, but in reality, he was secretly engaging in physical flirtation with the protagonist.
Sure enough, when he appeared, Jiang Che beside him tensed up, but he still held back his fear and said, “Bian Sheng, what you’re doing is too much. Tong Sui can’t even sleep on the upper bunk.”
“Ha, and why should I care?”
Bian Sheng walked closer, sizing up Tong Sui while smiling, “Are you really an Alpha? You can’t even handle a mech and broke your hand—how embarrassing.”
As he got closer, Tong Sui raised his hand and punched Bian Sheng in the face.
Bian Sheng was knocked to the side, shocked, completely not expecting Tong Sui to strike without warning.
He said, “I’ve been alive this long, and no one has dared hit my face.”
What a classic line.
Tong Sui looked at him coolly; in his previous life, he had learned a lot of combat skills with Bai Xinglu, even if he wasn’t strong, he had no trouble dealing with someone like Bian Sheng who appeared tough but was weak inside.
Tong Sui said, “Take your stuff away.”
Bian Sheng’s eyes flashed coldly as he raised his hand and attacked.
Those around felt a tightening in their chests!
Given their size difference, Tong Sui had no chance of winning.
Yet, Tong Sui gracefully sidestepped half a step, raised his foot, and lightly kicked Bian Sheng behind the knee.
Bian Sheng’s knees buckled, and he collapsed to the ground before Tong Sui, wincing in pain.
Around them, gasps echoed one after another.
They hadn’t expected Tong Sui to almost defeat the towering Bian Sheng without using much force.
Tong Sui asked, “Can I take my stuff now?”
Bian Sheng bore the pain and stood up, silently moving his things.
“Wait, restore my bed to its original state.”
Bian Sheng clenched his fists.
“You.”
Tong Sui narrowed his eyes, looking like an unhappy cat, “Do you have any objections?”
“……”
Bian Sheng had no choice but to pick up Tong Sui’s blanket.
The blanket carried a faint scent of detergent, sweet and pleasant; he couldn’t understand how he ended up losing to him.
